When Is Cecil Cecil Green Park Available for Events?

• Monday through Sunday
• Daytime (9:30 am – 4:00 pm) or Evening (6:30 pm – 1:00 am)

Cecil Green Park is available for events Monday through Sunday, for either Daytime (9:30 am – 4:00 pm) or Evening (6:30 pm – 1:00 am) events. Events can only be booked in advance, depending on your affiliation with UBC. See Availability and Advance Booking Privileges

Maximum Capacity

The maximum capacity at any given time for the house or grounds is 200 people

Please note that Fire Marshall regulations do not allow the maximum capacities to be exceeded.

Ceremonies and Receptions

• up to 200 for wedding ceremonies only or for stand-up receptions with casual seating
• up to 140 for sit-down receptions with either buffet or table service

Theatre-Style Seating

• up to 80 in the Kanakla Room
• up to 100 in the Yorkeen Room
• up to 50 in the Langara Room

The Yorkeen and Langara Rooms can be combined for theatre-style seating for a total of up to 150.

Table Seating

• up to 96 in the Yorkeen Room
• up to 44 in the Langara Room

The Yorkeen and Langara Rooms can be combined for table seating for a total of up to 140.

Boardroom

A separate Boardroom is available for rent by the hour for meetings, or as a breakout space. It can accommodate up to 20, seated conference-table style.
